Before the First Sip | Episode 14: Fitri’s Story, Indonesia
Share
Fitri is a young mother living in a remote village in Indonesia, where poverty and instability made every day uncertain.
As she struggled to provide for her family, her husband’s drug addiction brought fear and violence into their home. With nowhere to turn, Fitri began to lose hope.
Then she joined a She Is Safe Group in her village.
There, Fitri found trusted community, practical support, and the skills she needed to begin building a safer future for herself and her family. Through financial literacy, vocational training, and trafficking-prevention education, she is not only gaining greater stability, but also learning how to protect her daughter from the vulnerabilities that can place women and girls at risk.
This is what generational change can look like.
One woman gains knowledge.
One family becomes stronger.
One child grows up with a different future in front of her.
And that is why this work matters.
Through our partnership with She Is Safe, Crossroads Coffee Traders is honored to help support ministry that brings hope, protection, opportunity, and the love of Christ to women and girls around the world.
